My nan recently gave me her old sewing machine and a massive bag of different fabrics.
I love fabric and would spend my whole time sewing if I could. (No, TJ, I don't mean fixing your shorts, I mean making pretty things for the house!)
Most of my fabric stash got put up in the loft when Little Man came along as we had nowhere to store it. So this new stash of mine is very exciting. I've been waiting weeks for the weather to come nice enough to hang them all on the line to dry, and I now have to wait for it to cool down enough for me to press it all.
It's mostly scraps of fabric, and much of it is rather "dated" but I'm actually really quite excited about digging in to the pile. I have plans for a cot quilt for Little Man's room and have a book and several magazines full of gorgeous projects I'd like to try out.
My sewing skills are quite rusty and some things I still have to learn, but I am so eager to have a go. So watch out, you may have lots of sewing related updates to contend with soon!
