Please note: this page is still under construction so the list is not yet complete. It may never be complete, as I am finding more and more blogs I love each week. If you have any suggestions or would like to see your own blog here, please do let me know.
Looking for your next step in exploring the vast expanse that is the world wide web? Well why not visit some of my favourite places...
I have tried to list them in categories for easy blog-hopping, but remember some bloggers write about far more than one topic and in that case I have chosen to list them under the category I best know them for (i.e. what the majority of their posts are about).
I have also tried to keep the list down to those that are updated regularly, but have listed those I used to love in their Heyday as a look through their archives could still be a fun activity once in a while.
Homemaking and Lifestyle Blogs
Cherry is a favourite blogger for many readers and her site covers everything from general homemaking ideas, crafts and recipes to try yourself, and the challenges and fun of raising twins. I include her in this category as her posts all centre around the home.
Sadie writes some lovely posts about life, the home and things she gets up to with her daughter. Well worth a visit.
Louise writes some lovely posts about life and the home, and also has a dedicated garden blog too which you can find a link to on this blog.
Rachel writes about life, home, and is currently working on writing a novel and a cookbook based on her experience as a professional cook. It's always fun to pop by and see what she has been up to.
Sue writes about life, the home, her garden and often shares lovely recipes and food ideas. It's always a pleasure to stop by and see what she's been up to.
Tina never fails to make me laugh with her wonderful way of looking at life. Posts are so regular that there are often several in one day, but each one is a delight and short enough to read them all with your morning cuppa.
Art and Craft Blogs
Lucy's blog is a fabulous find, full of bright and cheery posts as well as far too many gloriously colourful crochet projects to count.
Sara regularly updates her blog with craft activities she and her kids have had fun enjoying, and her blog is also home to Craft Schooling Sunday, a weekly round-up of some of the best arts and crafts found on other blogs.
Alice's blog is a real gem, full of so many crochet ideas and patterns to try yourself. Added to this are regular posts about Raymond, the totally handsome Siamese who watches everything so carefully, as well as Alice's adventures in knitting and spinning her own yarn.
Julie writes some lovely posts about life and could easily have gone into the lifestyle category, but she also sews some beautiful items and so I think she deserves a place in this section.
Jen is a long-time friend of mine who recently started a blog to keep friends and family up to date with her many craft projects. She is my "crochet guru" and comes out with some of the funniest and quirkiest designs.
Simone is another blogger who writes a lot about life, home and garden, but whose art and craft posts are the most inspiring of reads, so I chose to stick her in here too. Simone considers herself to be a "craftist", that is someone who mixes art and craft skills together rather than sticking exclusively to one or the other.
Pregnancy and Parenting Blogs
This blog is written by someone I met through blogging about Endometriosis several years ago. Faced with infertility, they finally got a positive result in 2011 following an FET and are expecting twins. A fellow Hyperemesis survivor, there is so much I can relate to on this blog, and yet so much that is totally new to me.
Sarah is a fellow Endometriosis patient and has unfortunately had to face infertility and IVF. However, she has a gorgeous son called Henry and her posts are lots of fun to read.
I only found this blog relatively recently through my experiences with Hyperemesis Gravidarum, but have fallen in love with the open and honest style of the posts that cover everything from pregnancy and parenting through to greener living.
This is another recent find, but again the openness and honesty of the posts that discuss parentings a toddler, being pregnant with a second child and looking into future adoption makes it a compelling read.
Again, a recent find but a lovely addition to my blog reading. Onesie Mommy is all about life with an only child, and as Tim and myself are thinking of only having the one child it seems especially relevant to us.
Health Blogs
Jeanne writes many posts on various chronic illnesses and living with them. Her posts are always well researched and carefully planned to provide the best possible support for others.
Older Blogs
These blogs used to be favourites of mine but are sadly not regularly updated anymore
