Meet an Amazing Musician - Craig Sutcliffe

This is Craig, and I have to tell you his music is just beautiful!

I met Craig on a spiritual forum several years ago, long before I started sharing my work freely and he formed a major part of the group of people who encouraged me to believe in my abilities and get my work out there. In fact, Craig was the one who helped me expand my horizons by putting one of my poems to music, working on the very basic tune I hummed for him and creating the beautiful composition that you can hear by clicking on this link.  There are so many wonderful songs on the album, but the one I am talking about here is "Fly Free".

I was lucky enough to meet Craig in person on a group trip to Glastonbury, and got to know him even better on a rather humorous trip back to Lincoln in which I failed to tell him which turning to take and we ended up going on an hour long detour! Meeting him in person just reaffirmed what an amazing musician he is: so passionate about capturing the essence of life in his work that it is hard not to be inspired.

Since then a lot has happened, but we have still managed to get together online to collaborate on a second song, this time with Craig sending me a theme and asking me to write a poem to encompass it. I hope we get to work on many more together as he is a real inspiration.

Craig's work is beautiful in its honesty and gentle simplicity: his music speaks to your soul, rather than distracting it with overcomplicated scores.
