Good Morning all,
I haven't been up at this time in the morning for quite some time. I hasten to add that I used to get up at 6.30am every morning for work and have just been making the most of not having to do so! But with Christmas fast approaching I have a lot of work to do and so I am up and raring to go.
This week is particularly busy for me. We had our new freezer delivered yesterday: finally we have a full-sized freezer! And this afternoon we are heading off to collect our "half-pig". It will soon be full of sausages and pork joints, enough to last us a good 6 months. I am so excited - what a way to start a week.
Then tomorrow afternoon we are doing something I am both excited and scared about: we'll be taking a little trip to the doctors to have my mirena removed so that we can begin the exciting (if scary) journey towards having a family. A large reason behind our relocation was so that I could cut my working hours and recover from the intense treatments for my Endometriosis. And the reason for that? Well, we wanted to think about having a baby. Now the wedding is over, we can think about getting started.
If you've noticed the return of my "this week" diary on my sidebar, you'll see that tomorrow's post will explain this a bit further. And don't forget my next iVillageUK article on "jealousy and pregnancy". The submission date for this article has been postponed until next Tuesday, and so there is still time to contribute your thoughts. Check out my previous post explaining it in more detail.
Wednesday is an exciting time as there is a brand new blogging event I am taking part in: Love Beats Hate.
Inspired by the amazing relationships built on love, friendship and compassion that occur everyday thanks to blogs and social media sites, this event has been created to focus on love rather than hate. Too often the online world is used to spread hate and intolerance... but if the bloggers taking part in this event are anything to go by, love is becoming the more powerful of the two!
Check out the official page for this event to find out more and sign up. And don't forget to pop over to Jeanne's blog, Chronic Healing, to find out how this event came about.
On Thursday I am going to attempt to teach you how to make some very sweet little tree decorations, not unlike the ones for sale in the shop. Of course, you will need basic jewellery making equipment for this (a couple of pairs of pliers, some beads and headpins). But don't worry if you don't have those tools... you can still buy one of mine!
In fact, why not head over and have a look in the newly decorated Christmas Shop. One of the reasons I am going to be so busy this week is the fact I have a lot of items to prepare for an upcoming craft event, as well as wanting to stock up the shop in time for all your Christmas Gift needs.
And then on Friday it is Children in Need.
We are not doing anything special for it, but I shall be writing a post to explain all about this annual event for my international readers. In the meantime, why not visit the official site and buy a virtual pair of Pudsey ears for yourself?
So there you have it... a busy week and I really must get cracking on some more items for the shop.
